According to Secunia, any input passed to the “_httpsrequest()” function isn’t properly sanitised before being used in an “exec()” call. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary shell commands via a script calling the “fetch()” or “submit()” function with an URL controlled by the attacker.
It’s almost that time again, the next release of WordPress is almost out. WordPress 2.6 may be released on Monday. The new version will be packed with features, such as better management for your media library, Press This fixes, post revisions history, theme preview, category unions intersections, plugin update notification improvements, and more. Unfortunately for developers and users, many other things have changed which will provide more than a few potential headaches.
Most of my blogs entries are geared towards past, present, and future clients, do-it-yourself website builders, and other such readers. However, this time I’m writing for a different audience: my fellow developers.
I’ve found that one of the most irksome issues in maintaining a blog is that I can generally keep up with the blog or else I can develop custom web sites and web applications, but it’s difficult to do both.

One of our SEO clients recently contacted us, asking why (keep in mind we’ve performed SEO and SEM for his site for 5 months with a dramatic increase in traffic) he wasn’t getting many inquiries and conversions. His issue was that he was paying us, but didn’t seem to be getting a return on that investment.
My response was the essentially unchanged from what it had been the initial phone conversation, the day I drove over to his office to meet with him in person, and the majority of the times we’ve been in contact since. His site (which was outsourced to another developer) was absolutely NOT built to get conversions. This means that visitors were coming to the site (which is what he was paying me for) but were not doing much of anything once they got there.
It’s simply not enough to get traffic, you certainly have to do something to get that traffic to take action that will give you the lead and/or the sale!
