Greetings, I have created a website that lists out the lyrics of my favorite songs and I am using the tag parameter instead of category for the band name (so that users can easily submit their own songs using my "submit a song" form, categories would not work for this). The bummer about this is that my link structure isn't perfect, I would prefer http://indilean.com/band/song but I have to just use /song since tags can't be used in permalinks (as far as I've been able to figure out). My second hope was to be able to use tags in the meta title and description tags so that at least on search results people could see the band name there, but right now the closest I can get is just Song Lyrics and same with the description.
Your plugin has allowed me to put tags into the meta keyword area, which is a huge breakthrough, and I could probably hack around and port those settings up to the description and title area in the plugin editor but then when you launch a new release I fear it will be overwritten.
Could you please allow the %tag% macro in the Post Title Format and Description Format fields?
Thanks in advance! I have donated and I really appreciate your work. If you happen to know how to get my URL's working with tags that would be great also, but no worries otherwise :)
One more request while we're on the subject! Could you add an additional Description Format field and separate the two so one is for posts and one is for pages? This would allow people to further customize how their pages appear, in my case the song post pages would say %wp_title% Lyrics – %description% and my regular pages would just say %wp_title% – %description% without the "Lyrics" word throwing things off. You can see how it messes up the description tag on this page: http://indilean.com/contribute/
<meta name="description" content="contribute to indilean Lyrics - share song lyrics with the contribute form below. this form feeds directly into the system and once your post is approved it'll be live, so double check before" />
