I have set up a site on PHP 5.0, using WP 2.9.2 My SQL db Apache
Although I entered custom text for the Home Page Title, Description and Keywords, and Checked "Rewrite Titles" the Re-written Home Page Title is still not displaying in the top browser.
What could be the source of the problem?

thanks, I clicked but got information only. It didn't change the title. The title tag in the header is conditional: if home, then the title seems to display the value of the bloginfo 'name' variable. Don't want to change name of blog globally, just title of home page.

Are you using a Woo theme by any chance?

i also have the problem that my home page is not overwritten, but all my other pages are, all by All In One. my homepage is enabled for AIO to do its thing… it appears to be setup the same as every other page. any guess why only the home page isn't rewritten? site: http://dbacu.com

I am having the same issue. All other pages display the new title, but not the home page. My header code doesn't distinguish between the home and other pages, so I'm at a loss.

It looks like I am having the same problem too and I am using a Woo Theme. I don't get the title or description but I can see the keywords, but it's not the keywords I entered into the custom field for the home page. Instead, it has taken the keywords from my first blog post.

I really think everyone here is talking about customizing a separate post from all other posts , namely the Home page
At the very bottom of each post is the individual AIOSEOP for each post. This allows or is supposed to allow you to Change the Header title , description and have separate keywords for that specific post, but i think everyone here is all having the same problem and none of the inputs for each section are appearing after updating the post.
i am having the very same problem and this seems to be a major issue on many many themes but with so many requests for a solution and none has been given , i'm not sure if there is a solution… but if anyone , here knows anything about fixing this problem…there will be a heck of alot of happy people ..including myself.
Also i have "rewrite titles" box checked and "SEO For custom post Types" box checked in AIOSEO settings and still nothing working.
