The How's & Why's of Optimizing AIOSEOP Configuring All in One SEO Pack Forum

Hi,

Just joined the forum after many months of using this terrific plugin. Thanks! So, I have a couple of sites that use the plugin & I have the settings a little different for both…for no good reason other than I am unsure of the best  way to set up a few areas of the plugin. After much research, there are still a few items on the options page of which I am unclear, such as:

Dynamically Generate Keywords for Posts Page: I am a bit unsure of what this option does.

Also, I believe that the default setting for AIOSEOP has the Use noindex for Tag Archives: unchecked yet have the following two options checked: Use noindex for Categories: Use noindex for Archives:

Considering that checking them all prevents duplicate content, why leave one defaulted as unchecked? Also wondering why GWT hasn't showed any duplicate tag content considering that the "tag archive no index" option has been unchecked.

And one more area of confusion…I assume that I can either manually add tags & descriptions on the edit/new post area of the admin panel or just check the META categories & tags boxes on the options page to have that done automatically & that by doing both I would create duplicate info. Is that correct? And finally, why would I need to add the title (on the edit/new post page)? I thought that the plugin automatically generated titles.
