When I change permalinks on my WP site, I get a code to add to .htaccess file. It is in my cpanel and yet when I go on the site I get an error message – Sorry! Error 404 – Not Found. When I put it back to default all my pages and posts are in a continuous file and do not index at all (when I click on a topic is reverts to top of page). This all become evident when someone mentioned that my 'read more' did not open post. I have tried different templates with no success. I will appreciate your help with this.
