I use AllInOneSEO plug (great tool, thanks very much).
I'd like to NoIndex, Nofollow a single static page on my wordpress site. It seems like there are a number of wordpress plugins, which let you set those metatags on a page by page basis. Such as : http://wordpress.org/extend/pl…..reenshots/
But I'm concerned that the particular plugin (or any that mess with the robot metatag) might conflict with AllInOneSEO. So the magic question is what's the best practice to exclude a page?
In my case, I put a single page on my website with a ton of links as a service for my little community, but I don't want all the links hurting my pagerank. I'd rather not hand edit every link with a nofollow tag, so would rather apply the meta tag to this entire page.
The page is NOT in my menu structure, and I exclude it from my XML GoogleMap.

I thought this could be done by clicking "Disable on this page" in the All in One SEO options for that particular page. But it doesn't look like that works.
I am looking to noindex, nofollow all the posts in one particular category. Is there a way to do this without individually editing each page? It would be nice if there was a noindex option for all the posts in one specific category, like the Google XML Sitemaps plugin gives us the option of eliminating an entire category of posts from the sitemap.
Meanwhile, I will see if I can remove the index, follow command from my theme.

Hi Gretchen,
I wasn't able to find a way to accomplish what you're looking to do with AllinOneSEO, so I ended up installing an extra plug-in called Robots Meta http://yoast.com/wordpress/robots-meta/. I was a bit leery about adding extra plugins (and concerned about a conflict with All-In-One-SEO, etc… but it seems to all work well together.
Robots Meta gives you an extra widget in the admin panel of posts and pages that you can use to set no-follow and/or no-index for the entire page. It also gives you some options to no-follow a lot of the admin pages, search pages, etc… in Wordpress. It seems to work pretty well.
I'm not sure if this was also harnesses, but in addition to using AllInOne and Robots Meta, I also use a Plug-in to Generate a google XML map. I didn't know what the implications might be if I marked a page no-follow but had it in the map, so I also made sure to exclude all the no-follow pages from the XML map.
It all seems to work great, but I'm an SEO newby, so I claim no expertise :)

I ended up hard-coding it in my theme's header in a way similar to this: http://www.wprecipes.com/kevin…..r-category
With XML Sitemaps, I can eliminate all posts in a specific category from the sitemap. And for once, it didn't require an extra plugin (I feel like I have enough of those already) and I didn't have to individually edit each post/page I wanted excluded from search results.
