Newbie alert - question relating to "Description" and it not appearing in search engines General - All in One SEO Pack Forum

How come when I search for my site it comes up but without a description underneath it?

The page title is correct, etc but the description doesn't appear. In the All in One SEO Plugin Options page I have filled in the home description section…..I have also gone to the home page itself and filled in the the ALL in One SEO Pack section with the same info…. can anyone explain what and if I'm doing anything wrong?

Also…none of my pages are being indexed by google at all…I search using terms I've put in my meta tags and descriptions etc and nothing comes up… none of my pages at all. does it take a while to appear? My site's been live for about two months, we are getting traffic but it's all direct referrals, very little through random searches. What do I need to do to be indexed? I was under the impression that  the SEO pack optimized my site automatically.

Now I have admittedly said I am a newbie but who can help me understand what the aioseo pack does and how I can make the most of it?
