After Upgrade, No Meta Descriptions

I just upgraded to your newest version – 1.6 and after upgrading, I noticed that there are no Meta Descriptions.  I checked the source code and nothing is being generated.  Titles, keywords, and Canonical works fine but nothing shown at all for descriptions.  Is this a bug as it was working fine previously.  Please advise.

BTW – also, what forum software is this that you are using on the site as Id like to look at using it for my site as well – nice job.  Thank you in advance.

To clarify, it appears that if there is a meta description directly placed within the allinoneseo fields or within an excerpt of a post, that does show.  However, no automatically generated meta descriptions, and none on tag archives, despite the new tag_description parameter in 2.8.  Also, no meta tags in tag archives.  I woud think that to default to the tag itself would be easy enough.  My biggest issue right now is with the no meta description automatically generated.  Please advise as this could drastically affect my rankings if I get crawled.  Thanks again.

Hi there,

I am having the same problem. All my META data (listed on the DOMAINNAME/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=all-in-one-seo-pack/aioseop.class.php) has been blanked out.

Im not sure if it is the same problem Im having, just to clarify.  All mine is working with the exception of the meta description not showing at all.  Hopefully they can help us troubleshoot as Ive used this plugin for years but this is crucial to my seo needs.  I already tested **MODERATED – WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT HERE** SEO pack, which I would rather not use, but it does generate descriptions just fine…  so.  Again, Id rather use AllinoneSEO in conjunction with meta robots.

Anyways, looking forward to some feedback.  Thanks.

Same Problem

Frontpage: all fine

Single Post: No Meta Descriptions but Keywords

Pages: No Meta Descriptions, No Keywords

Running WP 2.8.1 and 2.7.1

With AIOSEO 1.5.7 everything works fine.
