(sorry, wrong forum. please move)
It's good to see the admin profess his faith. Cool, I'm really liking your plugin now. :)

I can typically figure things out, but I'm stumped. All I'm looking for is some direction in where to start looking..and I can get it from there. Around a couple of weeks ago, all of the search engines stopped indexing new posts. I currently am deactivating a few plugins that I installed over the past cpl of weeks to see if one of them happen to be the culprit.

When I do a site: search, my recent title pages do not show up. And when I do a title search with the post title, it will show up only the homepage url. Here are a couple of examples. As you will see, other blog posts linking to the original, links from other sites, etc. will show up. Also, in some cases, my main site is the first ranking with a title search, but the actual post page isn't showing up any where.

Example:
http://bit.ly/cZHWab – The first couple of links are my homepage and another blog that links back to the original. The original page is no where to be found on any search engine. Robots.txt looks good and sitemap.xml has it fine. Webmastertools is picking up the sitemap fine.

As you can see, it doesn't show up in a site: search:
http://bit.ly/aE1dVn

Same here on this search result. As you can see, first few hits are showing all that is linking back to the page – http://bit.ly/9YTHyx

But the page itself never shows and doesn't show in a site: search.

If I happen to find a plugin that is the culprit, I'll let ya know. In the meantime, I'm looking only for some direction. Thank you and thank you for your awesome product. Now that I see you're a brother in-Christ, a donation is looking more likely. :)

well, I have 7 test posts going through right now and all are now showing up in a site search. I have seen this question on this site b4, so for the benefit of others, I'll post my steps for others.

I have deactivated the following plugins -
CR Post to Ping.fm
fblikeButton
Strictly Auto Tags

My test posts have all included a mix of inserting diff categories and with/without tags
They all either had the SEO pack's "title" field left empty or it had the same as the post title
A mix of with and without descriptions and keywords

Now testing adding in a different title and will start enabling plugins. I suspect it is either the search engines don't like the posts out there to ping.fm or the strictly auto tags is messing it up. Idk… more to follow

put a diff title in, good to go.
enabled each of the plugins, 1 at a time. All tests posted back to google just fine.

No idea. It's now working, and I did nothing. I'll have to guess a plugin wasn't working well and disabling/re-enabling fixed it. I have no clue. That's the only thing I did.

But still, many of my recent posts over the past cpl of weeks are still not showing up in the results. Also, none of my recent posts have worked until these tests.

I'll find it.. and keep this thread up to date. Something is up. My xml file has the missing posts, robots.txt looks good. But they don't show up on my site: search.

More to follow…

Ya, all day on this thing.

After all test posts went through, I took an old post that wouldn't show up (after R&Ring those plugins) and it showed up. Hooray I said!

Nope… 3-4 other posts that weren't showing up, still did not after reposting. Back to the drawing board..

Removed all 3 plugins again. Submitted a new post and changed an older one. Both show up in the site search after 10min or so. Hooray! I keep the plugins uninstalled and fix another old post. Not showing up in the site search even after waiting an hour.

The only common denominator I can see right now is that after these 3 plugins are deactivated…and when a NEW test post is submitted, I can fix 1 of the older posts. Thus, both the new post and the older post will show up in the site search. (edited: not the common denominator. Posted a new post last night after this forum entry… and I republished an older post. The new post went through, the older post did not).

No clue. More testing tomorrow. I'll keep the 3 plugins removed. If another new post will come through fine, and I can fix 1 other of the older posts…I'll have it narrowed down furhter, but still won't know what it is. :)

Feel free to jump in any time if something catches your eye. Thanks.

seriously, anyone wanna jump in and give a pointer or 2? I don't typically stress, and this is starting to get to me.

It's obviously not the All In One SEO Pack. I have the bulk of my plugins disabled. New posts are going through now. The older posts, I cannot get them to show up in the site: search.

After republishing 2 of them (they were republished multiple times previously), I was able to get those 2 to show on the site search. But for the life of me, I cannot get a handful of others to show up. They are in the sitemap just fine.

Driving me insane.. ya, it's a short drive. :)

I may have found it? Not sure…

I just added a site to StumbleUpon, and I see the title is an old title of the page.

For instance:
http://serious-things.com/keep…..le-servant – Has a title of: "Keep it Simple Servant". The OLD title was: "KISS – Keep It Simple Servant".

When I add it to stumble upon, it found the old title and used that.. .even though on my blog SEO settings, it is not any where in there. Also, I looked a the page source, and I cannot find that title any where in there either.

Same thing with: http://serious-things.com/blin…..p-of-faith. Title: "Blind Step of Faith". The OLD title was: "Take a Step of Faith in the Light – Not in the Dark". This old title is no longer, but when I added to stumbleupon, that's what it pulled. Look at the page source, I cannot find the old title in there any where.

So it appears that it is pulling it from somewhere, no idea where.

Help?

ya, this is messed up man…

2 posts over the past 2 days were showing up in my google "site:" search after they were submitted. There were in the search within 10min of being submitted… Today, they are gone.

So, they are getting removed. No idea why. I just submitted a new one. It showed up within 10min in the site: search.

All new posts over the past cpl of weeks are getting removed after they successful get indexed/crawled.

Any clues…any one… any one.. bueller? any one..?

Wow!

A "support" forum that doesn't tell people how to configure the plugin at all, and leaves people high and dry with lots of questions unanswered, yet is very on the ball when it comes to swear words, of which G-D is now one. And you used the word in a nice way too.
