The functionality to rename the DB prefix does not work if wp-config.php has DB_HOST specified for the user of the database, but the database itself does not specify a host for the user (@%). This situation occurs on some of the popular webhosting sites where wordpress is installed for the users. However, the plugin will work if the query for rights is changed from:
"SHOW GRANTS FOR '".DB_USER."'@'".DB_HOST."'"
to
"SHOW GRANTS FOR '".DB_USER."'"
Perhaps, the plugin could be updated to run the 2nd query if the 1st query returns no rights.
